BORN, RAISED, AND STAYING IN ST. THOMAS

A lifelong resident, a CNC machinist, and a student, running for council to make sure this city works for the people who already live here.

WHY I'M RUNNING

I'm running because I was born and raised here. I love this city, and I care about what happens with it. I want to represent residents who feel their voices haven't been heard and help ensure everyone has a seat at the table as St. Thomas continues to grow.

St. Thomas is at an exciting moment in its history. Over the next two decades, our city will welcome thousands of new residents, new businesses, and new opportunities. The choices we make today about housing, transportation, recreation, downtown, and infrastructure will shape the community we leave to future generations. That's another reason why I'm running: because I think we need to get those decisions right.

I'm not a career politician, and I don't pretend to have every answer. Throughout this campaign I've spent my time meeting with councillors, local organizations, businesses, housing providers, and residents, because I believe good ideas come from listening before making decisions.

I care deeply about this city. I want St. Thomas to remain a place where families can afford to live, businesses can succeed, history is respected, and neighbourhoods continue to bring people together.

MEET KYLE

I was born and raised in St. Thomas, and I'm proud to call this city home. Growing up here gave me a deep appreciation for the people, neighbourhoods, and history that make our community unique. As St. Thomas continues to grow, that connection to the city has only become stronger.

Today, I work as a CNC machinist in the manufacturing industry while continuing my education at Western University. Balancing a full-time career with university has taught me the value of hard work, discipline, and lifelong learning. It also keeps me grounded in the everyday realities many residents face: working hard, paying the bills, and planning for the future.

Outside of work, I've developed a passion for municipal government, city planning, housing, transportation, and economic development. I enjoy researching ideas, asking questions, and learning how other communities have solved challenges that St. Thomas is beginning to face. That curiosity has shaped both my platform and the way I approach public service.

Whether I'm meeting with local organizations, speaking with residents, or reading planning reports, I believe good decisions start with listening, understanding different perspectives, and doing the research. If elected, that's the same thoughtful and collaborative approach I'll bring to City Council.

BEYOND POLITICS

When I'm not at work or studying, you'll usually find me exploring St. Thomas, supporting local events and businesses, or reading about city planning, public policy, and all kinds of history. I enjoy learning how communities grow and thrive, and I'm always looking for ideas that could help make St. Thomas an even better place to live.

When I get a chance to unwind, I like playing guitar, reading and writing, kayaking at Dalewood Conservation, Guelph Lake Conservation, or the Grand River, and spending time with friends. It's a good reminder that this city isn't just where I work, it's where I live too.

WHAT I BELIEVE

I believe good communities don't happen by accident. They're built through thoughtful planning, responsible spending, and listening to the people who call them home. I believe we can preserve our history while embracing new opportunities, and that growth should improve everyday life. Most importantly, I believe residents deserve a councillor who asks questions, does the research, and always puts the community first.
